Lake Michelle

2005.05.31

Lake Michelle is a vast lifestyle development with a rare ecological focus, situated around a lake in Noordhoek near Cape Town. Michele Sandilands Architects (working in collaboration with Simon McCullagh and Dennis Fabian Berman) are creating an environment in which people are once again invited to live into the streets and waterways as part of a community.

Pavatile is supplying more than 14 000 square metres of paving to this Plan Trust development, including its Granito PlazaBlok (developed specially for Lake Michelle in conjunction with Tanya de Villiers of CNdV Africa, responsible for landscaping at the project).

This product is fast gaining popularity with the design community because of its upmarket tile-like appearance.

Seen at a Lake Michelle site meeting are Dean Bezuidenhout (Adenco Construction), John Bridgman (developer), John Wilkinson (Project Manager for Plan Trust), Louis de Villiers (Site Manager, Burger & Wallace), Paul Summers (Burger & Wallace), David Stonestreet (de Villiers Sheard Engineers), Ross Cameron (AVDS Environmental Consultants) and Johann de Bruyn (electrical engineer, de Vos Paxton).
